How to (not) migrate Graylog to Opensearch | the Geeklab
https://thegeeklab.de/posts/2022/07/how-to-not-migrate-graylog-to-opensearch/
Graylog is a centralized log management solution to capture, store and analyze log files in real-time. Starting with the latest minor release 4.3 Graylog announced to no longer support Elasticsearch (ES) due to licensing and structural changes Elastic introduced in v7.11. For this reason, the last supported ES version is 7.10, which has already reached EOL on May 11, 2022.

Well, here’s a simple implementation of a basic log exporter. It doesn’t have support for some of the features you may want, such as back-pressure, but it…

Show Collectd Data From OpenWRT in Grafana
https://centurio.net/2023/10/10/show-collectd-data-from-openwrt-in-grafana/
Introduction It all started with internet connection problems. Since the end of 2022 I’m using a Raspberry Pi Compute Model 4 with a DFRobot router board as my main internet gateway and router. This proved to be a good decision so far, but after a recent maintenance of my provider I’ve started to have some connection dropouts. A collegue advised me to setup collectd on my OpenWRT router so that I can track connections problems. Collectd is configured in such a way that it pings 8.8.8.8 and 1.1.1.1 to indicate connection problems. While this may not be the perfect solution for proving problems, it was a great start and got me thinking. The metrics and graphs look ok, but in its default configuration the data is lost after a reboot of the router and the graphs aren’t modern enough for my liking. So I’ve thought why can’t I just visualize this data somehow in Grafana, which I’ve already used for other use cases?\n
